Ellinwood Celebration

Ellinwood’s 150th Kansas Anniversary Celebration will be held the following weekend on September 17-18.
The Cattle Drive will trail down Main Street in the morning of the 17th and that evening's featured performer -extraordinare Judy Coder will perform her classic cowboy music at the High School auditorium at 7:00pm, along with Cowboy Poet/MC Geff Dawson.

 

Activities will be centered around Wolf Park on Ellinwood's brick lined Main Street- unless noted otherwise
 

Saturday, September 17th, 2011

10am- Nolan Sump- Storytelling of a German Immigrant Farmer-
Band Shell at Wolf Park

10am-3pm
Frontier Photos- dress in old fashion clothing that are provided
 & get your photo taken.

10:30am- 1pm
Free Petting Zoo and Pony Rides for Children

10:45am-Registration for Old Fashion Style Review & Beard/Mustache Contest. Band Shell at Wolf Park

11am- Fashion Review begins at Band Shell at Wolf Park. Sponsored by

11am-1pm
Kids games & Crafts with a Western Old Fashion Theme

11:30am- Judging of the Beard/Mustache Contest.

at the Lot North of Kimples
 
12pm-Contessa show- a lively view of a woman from the late 1800's
Inside the Heritage Center on Main Street.
 
12:15pm- Tunnel Tours of Historic Underground World- meet at
Ellinwood Emporium to start tour.
 
1:00pm- Gunfight by The Cowtown Cowboys Professional Gunfighters
at the Lot North of Kimples

7pm- Concert by Judy Coder, along with cowboy Poet/MC Geff Dawson at High School Auditorium. Sponsored by Barton Co. Feeders, Farmers Mutual
